Campfires, smores and general just sitting around enjoying the sunset. Now thats summer! The whole gang loves campfires and smores... we have had lots of fireworks this year too, not just for the 4th of July. The gang is looking forward to a little cooler days so that it is a little more pleasant to sit outside on the back patio. But the three large shade trees and the constant breeze we usually have here on the hill does make it mostly comfortable.

David ran into an old friend and knew her instantly!

Busy summer!

Kris squints in the sunlight on the humid 4th of July morning while watching the parade. We buy donuts and drinks and sit and eat breakfast while watching the parade. Lots of candy was collected and the gang enjoyed watching the little children in the parade and those watching the parade.

Richard Takes a Ride

Handishop had the men all take rides on a motorcycle last fall. Richard really enjoyed it!

The Flu

So far - so good. Most everyone has escaped the flu... the gang that is. A few sniffels, and some tummy troubles, but for the most part they can't complain! Us however..... the rest of us who must get up regardless of how we feel, shower the gang - and get the gang up and out to their work places on time.... well thats a different matter! I will be glad when we feel better and no doubt the residents will be glad when we feel better too!

The residents are all anticipating spring.... Ruth wants to get out and walk (but its too muddy yet). Kris wants to sit in the sun and read her paper. Richard and David have asked to sit out on the deck - but it is just too cold yet. Most likely they have another month before they can sit on the deck and bask in the sun. They are mostly patient - but you can see one or more of them daily stand in front of the glass doors and look out longingly onto the deck.
